These countries includes: United Kingdom, France, Germany together with Spain and Italy. At the same time, the validity date is from 1st Jul 2018 to 30 Jun 2021.
As a result, passengers who come from these 5 countries do not need visa to enter Vietnam for less than 15 days. However, Vietnam visa is still necessary for those who want to stay in Vietnam more than 15 days.

Currently, Vietnam Government has approved for citizens of 24 countries enter Vietnam without visa. This number is lower 7 times in comparison to to Indonesia (168 countries) and Malaysia (162 nationalities).
Play as a tie between economy and tourism industry, Vietnam visa plays an important role. In particular, at the first year of promulgating Vietnam visa exemption in 2015 has brought 720.000 EU travelers to Vietnam. Also, this number has been increasing and reached to 1.2 million of European tourists to Vietnam in 2017.
For this reason, Mr. Vu The Binh (Vice-chairman of Vietnam Tourism of Association) has proposed to exempt visa for 5 these European countries from 15 days to 30 days. This is due to 15 day-time is a short period of luxurious tour and normally flight-cost is high to go to Vietnam. Therefore, it is better to enable them to stay here for more than 15 days.
